Dr. Helen Barrett, of the University of Alaska, is one of the nation's experts
on the implementation of electronic portfolios. Her site includes a number

her articles. She regularly looks at the various formats that can be used
to
create electronic portfolios, and makes recommendations for schools about
what they need to get started. Helen has also spent significant time looking
at the development of teacher portfolios both for pre-service and in-service
teachers.
- Center for Innovative Learning Technologies
CILT is a new organization led by many of the leading researchers in K-12
educational technology. At the moment, CILT has four primary focus areas,
one of which is technology and assessment. CILT's member organizations
