I wish to thank the conference committee of the fourth International Colombian Congress on Informatics and Education at Monizales for inviting me to be their guest speaker. It was an experience that I will not soon forget. The beauty of the Colombian landscape was only surpassed by the warmth and hospitality of my Colombian hosts.
