2B1 -The Gathering

At the invitation of Nicholas Negroponte and Seymour Papert a gathering of community activitsts, teachers, academics and leaders in Information Technology from around the world came together at the Media Lab at M.I.T. in Cambridge, Massachusets from July 16 th until the 22nd 1997 in order to create a foundation that will facilitate access to information technology for children around the world.
